Open Research Center
Meiji Pharmacetutical University Open Research Center is a research institute which aims at "Integrated research in both basic and clinical pharmaceutical sciences for prevention and treatment of common diseases".
Circulatory system disorders, dyslipidaemia, atopic dermatitis are common infectious diseases which affect numbers of people. Regarding prevention and treatment of those diseases, we will conduct general research in cooperation with researchers in the field of both basic and clinical research.
Our purpose will be to promote the development of drugs which have a novel mechanism of action, and to create tailor-made medicine.
We also offer lectures to high school students and local residents, so that we will foster educational commitments about prevention and treatment of diseases to the wider community.
The center has been supported by the Open Research Center Project, which is promoted and subsidized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology since 2004.
(This project was completed on March 31, 2008.)
